i tried copying @adamfergusonart 's style, but I ran out of time. I spent some time studying his work, which I've added here. Big thanks to @SpriterGors for his support!

Here's a batch of palettes from Adam's pieces which I've analysed thanks to DawnBringer's scripts.
I've noticed that there seems to be a central grey ramp in these, which is complemented with 2-3 other colour ramps.

Something else I wanted to do was to understand Adam's approach to pixel art clusters: I noticed that there were a lot of tetromino clusters used for foliage, which I all turned into brushes, and that the square eraser brush was used for rocks.

I then tried to understand Adam's approach to composition, by breaking the pieces down into 4-5 layers. Dark foregrounds, light horizon, mid-grey mountains or castles occupying a central role in the pieces.
